i want to make my truck faster i want it to take off faster and performe better. if i put a supercharger on my truck would my transmission hold up to it

 

mileage? 2wd or 4wd? auto or manual trans? 99 4.6 didnt have PI heads yet. what kind of power are you looking for?

 

My truck is a 2wd auto transmission and it has about 186 thousand milles on it. I really want it to get more horse power i want to just be able to push the gas pedal and respond quick

 

186k on trans will not hold the power of the S/C for long. If you have a rebuilt in it recently im sure you will be ok for a while.

Sounds like you are a good candident for gears

ok do they upgrade the gears in the trans and around how much you think im looking at

 

gears are in your rear axle

 

well the trans probably needs to be completely rebuilt. But i was referring to swapping out the differential gears. A couple hundred on parts and labor, Prolly around 400?
