Yeah, but is he running the 8.8 in a 4000 lb. vehicle? I'd have second thoughts about that. That's alot of weight to get moving. My concern isn't the gears, bearings or axles holding up, but rather the housing itself flexing getting distorted, and letting the gears fail due to that, even being braced up. BTW, I think if you plan on getting into the 6's you'd better be spraying... that's just my opinion

His car is full weight minus air and heat. It has a 10pt cage full interior it is not light by no means. I am getting the tubes welded and braces put from the tubes to the center section by the yoke. The more people that i talk to say that it shouldnt be an issue. The truck already has a zex kit on it and will be used after everything is lined out.
