Yeah, but is he running the 8.8 in a 4000 lb. vehicle? I'd have second thoughts about that. That's alot of weight to get moving. My concern isn't the gears, bearings or axles holding up, but rather the housing itself flexing getting distorted, and letting the gears fail due to that, even being braced up. BTW, I think if you plan on getting into the 6's you'd better be spraying... that's just my opinion
