What are you running for steering? im not too familiar with that body style F-150, do you have a steering box in there or a rack and pinion? if a rack and pinion what steering box are you going to use? for 40's a drag link and tie rod with a steering box should be a fine setup but if you plan on running 44's or 52's you going to probably need hydro steering or a hydro assist.

you going to have to run a high steer set up for over the leafs in front what are the donor vehicles for the D60's?

this should be a bad ass build but if you going to run massive tires like you plan make sure all your stuff is ROCK solid. all your spring mounts and front crossmember.

Good luck man, im subscribed to see this thing. its going to be a bad ass!
The axles are from a Dodge or Ford they are D60's 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern. They were last in a Dodge 1500 that had a 4 link suspension on the front and leaf in the rear.

If the front links have the correct geometry then ill be doing that. No reason to cut all the stuff off it i can use it. Plus a 4 link will be much smoother on the road. If we go this route we wont be running heims instead we will run bushings. they take vibrations much better.

The biggest dissapointment in this hole thing is i dont get to do the build myself. I moved into an apartment so no longer have the room to do the build. Ill be helping out when i can but most of the work will be done by Conquer Customs. The system will be bolt on. So if i ever want to go to 2.5t's all i have to do is unbolt and sell the axles leafs and links to someone with an F150.

as far as steering i cant run full hydro and wouldnt want to run hydro on the street. However ive been contemplating hydro assist. I probably will be running crossover steering. All this is ultimately up to the way we lift the front. This will be the first part of the build. Its getting the truck safely back on the road then ill start upgrading other things, like steering, t-case, shocks... and so on.
