No high idle when cold no codes need help!

No high idle when cold no codes need help!

My 2001 5.4 supercrew will not hold a high idle when its cold .i have to hold down the gas pedal to have the engine run. What is causing this? Coolant sensor, tbs. The funny thing is i am getting no codes. When engine is warm it idles but only at 500 rpm. Need help!!!!!

most likely the iac.

this sensor is on the air tube?

the iac valve is on the back of the 90* elbow that the throttle body mounts onto.

to fix should i spray throttle body cleaner in it?

your better off taking it off if your gonna clean it. but you'll most likely need to replace it if it is bad. and if you replace it you may want to consider cleaning the throttle body while your at it if its never been done.
