I need to find these bearings or crossreference them with other.
I have 2004 2WD, 6 lugs 4.6L and need ***** front wheel bearings (they are the same size) the inner and outer. The correct bearing comes in Hub Assembly part # JRM4549CS (on the bearing) but if you ask any automative store they will have the wront bearings in their systems. One small, one big. These bearings are also know in the aftermarket world as SET930 and are from Timken. Does anyone know who has it today?
Maybee a crossreference number of other brend? Timken will not remake these till march. Please help.

 

I'm probably wrong but I didn't think the front hub was serviceable on the 2 wheel drive. I have never replaced front wheel bearings on them so I could be totally out there. Hopefully someone who knows more than I will give you better advice. I did check the manual and it doesn't break down the hub showing the bearings.

 

I would agree, just buy a new set of rotors with bearings, might as well do the brakes too

 

i hate how ford wants to reinvent everything, i am having a whee bearing go out for the second time first was at 40k now at 105k and my rotors are in perfect shape..........$250 to replace wheel bearing that are usually part of regular service to replace them..............BS

 

ive replaced mine 4 times now with only 65k ....thats BS ... cant find the right aftermarket and Ford / Motorcraft cant seem to build a reliable one either... What to do ?

 

I thought when you bought aftermarket rotors they came with aftermarket (usually better) wheel bearings on the 2wd rotors?

I was always under that assumption.

 

im with them ^^^ i think u have to buy the whole hub assembly, i had to replace one a while back...

 

it takes little longer but for $60 you can do it. Especially that they last only 30K miles. Old Bearing - Bearing company has them.

 

I'm going to take a look at mine. I was told it was not servicable, so I never looked, just replaced the rotor. Had an original fail at 41,000 and replaced both fronts with Rabestos rotors, now have 37,000 on those.

 

The 2wd is only one bearing and a huge spindle nut that is not re-usable. Its stamped all over the nut that it can not be re-used.

My dad replaced a rotor at 67k due to bearing failure. We looked at changing out the bearing. It has a huge ring clip thats very stiff and you would need a good press to remove this bearing. New rotors have a new or reman bearing installed.

I dont remember if he hit advance auto or o'rielies, but the rotor was actually new and the price wasnt bad. It was cheaper than rock auto.com

 

I have done it myself. You need a machine shop to press it in because they are huge *** bearings, but it worked on one side. I was trying to get it for the other.
I guess it depend what version of F150 you have. many times when I go to the dealer, they tell me that i need parts for my vin number that actually don`t fit ?! Sometimes it is a struggle to find the part that fits ! Now I have the bellow problems, maybe you guys can help, P-L-E-A-S-E.....


Steering / throttle body / door sensor / ABS- need help.
2004 f150 2wd 4.6l, auto, a/c.
1) Does the power fluid should bobble, (look like it is boiling) in the reservoir?
My does all the time. My friends do it too.
2) I started by engine and the belt started to make noise, then after a little bid the power steering fluid spilled out right over the top of the reservoir?
Why? I flushed the system and added new fluid. Now it is OK until I turn the steering wheel, then at specific location of the wheel it spills out again over the top of the reservoir. Why?
3) The computer tells me that the throttle body is not working correctly. P2106 I took it apart cleaned it and it still does not work. Do I replace, the motor, the sensor, the body?
4) ABS light is on? No problems. New breaks, rotors, itc. I’ve reset the computer. What now?
5) Door open sensor is on. Door is closed. ?

 

can anyone verify that it is possible to press them out? or does anyone in AZ have some old rotors laying around i can try on?
