Small swatch of castano leather wanted..

Hi over there in the land of election fever...

I need a small piece of Castano leather to send to a company that can make a colour match to paint over my discoloured seat at the front ...see previous thread about how it darkened because I wore shorts most of the time in Texas.

I've tried all other remedies but now recolouing is the only option.
I've used the company

http://www.liquidleather.com/

before and they provided an excellent match for scuffed armrests on an older Bentley.

I would normally send a small sample cut from somewhere out of sight, but the fact is there isn't really any overlap anywhere and if I can find a small sample before resorting to that, it would be the best solution.

The guy who used to sell small items of castano leather products on Ebay doesn't seem to be around otherwise I would use him.

Any help would be appreciated and I would obviously reimburse all costs plus a 'bevy' or two !!

I have a small sample that I got from http://www.coast2coastleather.com/ it says it is a king ranch but it is actually much darker then my seats. I called them and they sent me a free sample maybe you will have better luck then I did? If they wont I will be happy to send you my sample.

Let me know

Thanks for your offer....
If you think your sample is much darker than your Castano it might not be suitable for a colour match.

I'm hoping that someone might have a piece that is still near the original supplied leather.
If not I may give that company a call but if the piece they supplied was the wrong colour then I may be back at square one !

Thanks though!!

This is very close to the color on top of the gauge cluster/ door inserts but is leather. Since I am in the process of reconditioning mine I am not sure how close a color match should be. Regardless my offer stands if you need it.

John - I have a swatch somewhere... I'd be happy to swim it across the pond... I'm pretty sure I know where it is (maybe).

Hi Ranch It Out.....
I did think of you and checked KR on EBay but didn't see any current auctions to enable me to contact you...Wasn't sure if you were still 'in business' !

To enable the company to do a color match I only need a piece a couple of inches square at most.....as close to the original Castano color as possible.

Thanks...contact me by EM if you wish.

Thanks !

It'd be good if Ed could help you out because, I'm striking out left and right on finding the small swatch that I have...

And... what is an 'EM'?

Ehh... I continue striking out. I can't find it, John. I know it's here but, I cannot put my fingers on it...

Any luck elsewhere?

Not yet Brad....

I'm learning to live with the darker leather...like I'm learning to live with the tire warning message !!!

Cheers
