Looking to add a DD screen in my 01'

I have already searched and still have a couple questions...I am thinking about adding a double din screen in my 01' scab. I have already cut out the part in the back as I put in a 6 disc changer and it is the full width and height all the way back, so I think I just need to trim the top a little? Here are my questions...what all is needed? I am thinking the HU, wiring harness (any reccomendations?), and the main thing that I am not clear on is if I need to get a dash kit or not? My other question is how is the HU actually secured?

Here is the HU that I am looking at getting...let me know what you guys think!

I will be running a 4 channel speaker amp, and a mono sub amp off of it, I think this one has everything that I need, plus an Ipod hookup

I recently installed a Clarion MAX685BT in my 2001 F150

I didnt need to cut the "Trim" piece (the plastic piece with the vents in it) at all but I did need to do some slight triming inside. I used a Rotory cutter and it was fairly painless. I also used a DD mounting kit and a wire harness. I think it came out looking great.

i did one in a '98, had to take out quite a bit of the top of the black trim inside, no trimming to the surround. not sure if yours is the same, but there was a metal bracket holing up a black box in there that I had to remove too (it is above the radio) . I zip-tied the black box instead and it fit perfect.
