Line-x over a cheap immitation spray in liner
I just bought an 05 F150 used and the idiot that owned my truck before me sprayed in some crappy line-x wanna be. It is scratched and flaking off, not to mention he, or the place that did it, painted over the bed bolts. Is it possible still to get a line-x bed liner put in, or am i screwed?
i am in the same exact boat!! i went to get mine one and the ai i had to have it all out! i presured washed...hand scraped... that stu flake in places but ome just doesnt wann comeout!!do you guyys think it alllllll has to be removed?
You have two choices:
1. Strip the old liner outta there and install LINE-X. You can strip it out yourself or pay the LINE-X dealer to do it. When LINE-X is installed, you will get the full warranty.
2. If the old liner is stuck well to the truck, you can get LINE-X ReNew. The LINE-X dealer will apply a new texture and then apply LINE-X Xtra. Keep in mind that it's still the old liner that's stuck to the truck. So, if the old liner peels up, it's going to take the LINE-X with it. That's why there is no warranty with ReNew. However, ReNew is going to be the less expensive option.
