Thumbs up Need your response about a Magnaflow exhaust system GP

Next week I have a meeting with a Magnaflow expert that will go over options and thoughts about an exhaust system for our L's.

Also, I have set a time next week to dyno my L to get a base-line and if there is a Magnaflow installation, after the installation, I will dyno again to see if there is an increase in horse power and/or torque. I will let you know the numbers. My system as it now stands is completely stock.

My question to you
If there is an increase in performance, the sound is great, Magnaflow sets up a GP and can ship to your door, are you interested????

I would like to see anyone THAT MIGHT be interested re-post this thread so that I can present it to Magnaflow.

In fact, I will e-mail this post to Jason of Magnaflow so that he can see what kind of response that there might be. Jason also mentioned that they might develop a stainless steel, cat-back system for the L's. I'll keep you in touch with this possibility.

If your are NOT interested, please do not re-ply. I would like to hear from those interested ONLY.

Thanks

Jim Shaw

Jim:

I am potentially interested, but it is going to have to be an advantage over simply showing up at the Magnaflow dealer, and having him install a system. I love to do things with minimum hassle. I will be awaiting your dyno/sound results.

Jim,

You already know I am. I want a system that exits where it should and slides right over the existing cat pipes. I don't like exhaust hassles and dirt in my eyes trying to fit, bend and weld things up. I want one that is 'throatier' than what we already have, even if the hp improvement is only slightly better. Cost is also a consideration vs horsepower improvement.

Jim, I am interested as long as the system is an easy in/out replacement for the stock system. thanks 95rcobra.

Jim, i'm also interested (as usual). i've wanted to change my exhaust for 18 months now, but haven't found a system that documents any hp increase, with a legal, preformance sound. that would be nice, and thanks again for sharing your findings

ZorPrime

That is exactly what I want. Something a little deeper, a little louder.

From the info. that I have received from a few Magnaflow sources, that is exactly what the Magnaflow does + I have been told that there will be a performance gain. This is yet to be seen.

I am interested!
I do not want a system that will drone you to death on the interstate.
I also do not want to loose any off the line torque.

Yes, I am interested also if the cost is reasonable and the sound is better.
