drivers seat foam going!

I have seen so many fords and lincolns with the drivers side foam seat padding crumbling. It ends up letting the leather get all wrinkled. Has any body just tried to shove new foam from the underside as a cheap fix? I know the right way to do it, but I don't want to spend a weekend doing that.

No matter what you stuff in there it will never feel the same. Save yourself the trouble and do it right. It sucks that this is a "routine maintence" item. My seat is doing the same thing but I have cloth and mine has a nice tear in it.

I've got the black leather and it's starting to look pretty bad. I have a buddy that pulled of the skins and did replace sections of foam w/ a heavier more dense type and swears by it.

Another victim of the crappy Ford cloth and foam.

I don't even want to know how much ford charges for a piece of foam

I just finished adding 1 inch of very dense black foam under my driverside seat foam and it is like new again. The foam I got was like concrete it is so dense. You need a piece 12 x 18 inches, undo 4 bolts under seat, pop off the wiring harnesses under the seat. Thake the uphostry off the seat starting at the front, lift up the seat foam and slide in the new piece, It took me 30 minutes to complete.

I ended up fixing mine with a piece of foam from Jo-ann fabric (Man you feel manly shopping in there )

I did it when I was changing out my crappy STX cloth interior. I took the seat and cut out the piece of foam that was crumbling. I cut it in a square and then cut a square piece of foam from the stuff i bought and glued it in there. Went to work with a razor trimming it up and it worked great. I have pictures on my phone and as soon as I figure out how to get them off i'll post em up.

ouch 133 is steep, Im going to try to find a truck with a bent front seat so they will separate the foam from the rest of the seat
