OEM Antenna
Cranked up the torsion bars and added taller tires to my "new to me" 02 Screw...evrytime i pull in and out of the garage, the damn antenna catches the garage door by about 6"s and proceeds to wobble back n forth making that boing boing boing irritating sound for about 15 seconds. Now, due to my procrastination, the base mount is beginning to loosen also.
I'm assuming i can get to the underside of the base and retighten? What about the antenna? My first instinct is to get out the cutters and snip it short enough to clear. I'm not sure if this would f* up my reception or not though.
Anybody know?

No problem
Snipping the antenna won't affect reception. I've done it with 2 or 3 F150s in the past without any noticable reception issues. Another option is to go out and buy a Shorty antenna. I bought one for my current F150 and like the looks of it.
Got the level out and snipped my antenna so that it was 1 inch higher than the roof. Did this about a year ago and have no noticeable difference in reception. Also, when I get my lift installed the antenna will help with clearance warning...if it clips anything I'll have a pretty good idea the truck will not fit under the impending overhang.
