lowering shackle?

i been recently debating weather to put a leveling kit or lowering shackles to level out my truck.
i was wondering if you folks could help me out a bit.
if i were to put a lowering shackle on my truck, will it affect the ride?
also i hear that it will affect driveline angle and it will vibrate.or sumting like that is that true?and is it bad??
and what shackle drop should i use to drop my 97 f-150?
i heard 2" maybe more?
thanks guys your help is really appreciated...

I have shackles and hangers done to acheve 4 total inches of drop in the rear. I have not had an issue with driveline angle, it ride just fine i love it. im thinking about going even lower now... haha. but 2" will do just fine to level it with no problems... and if you want to go lower i have 3" drop coils i may be willing to let go, and go with shackles and hangers...

2" shackle will level out, make it ride a little softer feeling in the rear, but overall very good mod
