The best thing you can do for your wheels is not use harsh chemicals on it. Use whatever car wash soap you use and a dedicated wash mitt just for you wheels. As need, apply a good synthetic wax or wheel wax (Poorboy's or Chemical Guys for instance) to help protect them. Polish when necessary but those steps should drastically reduce the need to polish. I use Chemical Guys Whel Guard and haven't had to polish since I applied it probably 4 or 5 months ago. I also wash my truck weekly.
