Bilstein 5100 Shock Install ???'s

http://store.topguncustomz.com/store...82&i=193574766

I'm ordering the complete set of 4 shocks for my 2006 4x4 Lariat SCrew.

1. What will I need to install the set?

2. How hard is the install?

3. Will I be able to run 33" MT's front and back with the 2" front lift?

Thanks,
Chris

1. I don't know for sure but I think it's one of those "if you have to ask" things... Installing the rear shocks is dead easy (once you get the wheels off... you need a 13/16" socket on an impact driver or a 36" breaker bar... cause they're big and tight) and the shocks are held on with a 15mm bolt and 18mm nut. The front shocks... crap, you probably need a spring compressor and 2 years experience as a mechanic's apprentice. I did the rear shocks myself and had an alignment shop do the front ones. Took them 2 hours. Ford dealer quoted me 1.5 hours (at twice the hourly rate). You NEED a wheel alignment after installing the front shocks.

2. Rear... easy... 1 out of 5 difficulty. Front... I dunno. The alignment guy seemed to think they were a bitch.

3. I think they specify these lifts to fit a 32" tire; but, ah, the stock 18" and 20" tires are 31" and this shock lifts the nose a good 2" so I'd think you'd easily fit a 33" under there.

Good luck. Oh, couple of before and after pics... check my profile.
