Got a e-mail that my new Wet Okole seat covers just shipped. Took only 18 days to get them. Any installation tips for a 2008 regular cab 20-40-20 seats?

I've read posts that the center console cover needs a pin added in the corners so the top closes better.

 

Definitely not fun installing these things. You're going to have to remove the seat back portion of the back seat to install them correctly. At least I had to in my 2006 and I don't think there's any difference between the 06's and the 08's. Best piece of advice I can give you is don't do it on a very hot day because you're going to be at it awhile and you're going to break a sweat. They fit like a glove and look factory though so there's a lot of stretching and cursing involved.

 

I have to remove the integrated seat belt (I think?) from the top of the front seats. How to do this?

Wet Okole doesnt have instruction for newer than 2003, mines a 2008

There two buttons to push to get the headrest off. Found this using search, others have asked this question.

I didn't use Wet Okole but regardless they were a pain in the ****. I didn't take all the seats out and paid for it. Took forever. Just be patient and tug and pull hard.

 

I found the front seats to be very easy. You do not have to remove the integrated seatbelts or anything from the seats. Remove the "20" by pulling straight up on the front of the seat cushion then remove the four Torx bolts (T45). Do the captain's seats while you have the middle seat out. Do the middle seat and re-install it.

I started installing the passanger seat cover last night. A lot of tuging & pulling. I need to take out the center jump seat/console and put its cover on, while its out I'll finish doing seats since there more room in the middle of the cab. Looks nice, just didn't finish yet.

The 2008 center console doesn't have torx head hardware, 15mm socket.

Well worth the $300, makes my plain jane XL look better and like the idea of neopren seat covers since I jump in dirty & sweaty some times. It's a truck not a SUV!
