hey. i just had this happen. I was on my way home from work and DRIVING PAST THE FORD DEALER SHE SHUT OFF. so i push her back into the lot. the next morning we get called and say its a sensor on the camshaft. ~$300 to fix. i noticed it about a week before the engine made a rattling noise. most ppl on here incorrectly diagnosed it as an A/C clutch failing. if you hear something like that, it is most likely the sensor on the camshaft that has something to do with driving the fuel pump. again, took them 2 days and $300 (1/2 parts, 1/2 labor) to repair. sorry to hear you had to replace your fuel pump when the old one was working.
