I have a Powerdyne and it uses standard right hand thread. When I need to change a pulley or remove the pulley the first thing I do is to loosen the bolt while the belt is tight. The Engine will give enough resistance to break the bolt loose. When I reinstall I always put some blue Loctite on the threads, snug the pulley bolt, tension the belt and then firmly tighten the bolt, Never had an issue either way.
