Am I just ****, or would this **** you off?

OK, so I went into my dealer on Friday (for the record, not the dealer that i bought my truck at - i'm in a different city now...). I had an appointment for them to fix my windshield wiper cowl. It was popping up all the time and it was just the wiper holding it down. Keep in mind that this is an 07 and I've only had her since last August. So anyway, I sat in there for about 2 hours in their waiting room. As I'm looking through the window to the service bays I see like 3 people talking to each other leaning on my truck! They finally tell me that I'm done. So I get in my truck and I see that my CD is on track 50 something and I left it on 20 something so I know either somebody was messing with it, or they left it on. All my A/C Vents are turned around, and It's set to Full A/C (It wasn't even on) My seats all the way back; oh and they rolled down my windows (after i told them not to - so now i have to get the drivers window re-tinted...)
Ok, so I'm I just really **** or would this **** everybody off?!
...I wanted to post this on Friday, but I haven't had internet until today at work.

So there.
I'm done.

F yeah that would **** me off. That is, IMO, totally unprofessional. That just confirms once again what people will do to your personal property, no respect. Tell the owner about your experience and then make up some **** like you had a bunch of stuff stolen or your truck smelled like pot or something. See what he says

That would **** me off. Especially the window thing. Do you have to pay to have it re-tinted? If you do, I would be making them pay for it.

As for the A/C. I would tell them they screwed you over, and now you are going to have to get an A/C recharge sooner than you planned. I would make them put in my records they would be giving me a free recharge when the time came.

I hate to say it but most of them do that. They changed my Nav settings on my D3, same thing with the a/c. Stereo left on the spanish station.

i don't have to pay for the tint; we do it at my work so i'm sure i can just do it at lunch. it more of a PITA than anything else...
As for the A/C you really think that would work? Yeah I mean it pissed me off, but I have no idea how long they had it on for...
This just pissed me off and I'm ranting...
I do as much of my own work as possible, so even having someone else work on my truck makes me very nervous. So when I see people that I don't know leaning on her I start to freak out a bit.:o

even if you do it yourself. I would draw up some numbers for the labor and supplies for the tint, and make them pay. new tint, and pocket the money for the labor. if you told them not to roll the windows down, they shouldnt have. its costing you time and money. i dont like to work during my lunch. but thats just me.

as for the a/c. can it hurt to try. I mean yeah, its stretching it, but who doesnt like free stuff.

The only part that would **** me off would be the windows since you told them not to roll them, but they always roll them down because it makes their jobs easier. Better that than having door dings from them having to open your doors constantly in the crampt service bay.

I would be pissed to I would definately make them pay for the tint even if you can do it yourself. I hate when they get in my truck and mess with things I make it very clear for them not to and if they do I go off on the service department. They have learned not to do it with my truck finally. But it also ticks me off when they get grease on my leather!

Yeah IDK how they managed to not F-up my seats, I have the uber-light grey cloth. Why they put those in the base model work truck I have no idea. They are so hard to keep clean! You think if the target market was people and companys with messy jobs they'd give you the black seats...

ok, i'm just ranting again.
sorry

i guess im just pissy today.

I dont have a problem with them rolling windows down because I understand it can make their job easier. But if someone asks you not to, they shouldnt. In my jeep, my window would come off track, so when they rolled it down when I asked them not to, I got to spend some time taking off the door panel to get it back up.

As for doors being dinged or scratched: If a dealership doesnt have enough room to fit a mid size truck(product they sell) in the service department, they really need to rethink the way they do business. Oh, and if a business has employees that cant follow directions, that normally isnt good either.

haha this is great....

So, my boss is in a meeting right now and guess with who?
The service manager that runs the dealership.

...

Do you know how much self control this takes to not go upstairs and start yelling?

I dunno, I thought the forum would enjoy a bit of irony...

Have you ever been given specific directions that were NOT supposed to be followed?

Even if it is cramped or a tight squeeze, are you saying that can justify ignoring requests, and doing things someone specifically asked them not to do. What exactly made it so difficult to not roll down the windows. Unless they went dukes of hazzard style and climbed in and out of the windows, they should have been able to open the doors just as easy the 2nd time as they did the first time.

I would be pissed...and you should have said something right then and there. Now that you've left, it could change things.
