I can reiterate the above. After pulling out countless number of trucks, every situation is different. I have the 5.4 and have done well pulling out everything I've come across (minus one situation I needed help with). Some of the people could have EASILY been pulled out by a 4cyl truck while others definately used the 300horses of my V8. The one thing that I can say is that if someone's stuck in thick mud, then that creates a suction and even if it's a 3000lb civic it could have a pull weight of 10,000lb with the mud sucking it in. Good luck, and know the capabilities of your truck....Don't overbear it, cause that driveshaft and gears will only take so much before they "snap". I'm sure many of us have seen it before!

My sig is the one time I needed help snatching from two jeeps that were also anchored to a tree.
