the 4R100 is good up to 1000 ft lbs of torque, while the 4R70W is good up to abouut 700 ft lbs. your stock transfer case is the Borg Warner 4406. Swapping to the 4R100 is not an easy swap. You would also need a new computer, and torsion bars that are about 6'' longer so that they will clear the longer transmission. There are other many other little pitfalls as well. You would be best to beef up your existing transmission. The only 97-03 trucks that came stock w/ the 4R100 were the 7700 package (4WD version) and the Lightning (2WD version) no supercrews came equipped w/ the 4R100.
