I'm new to Texas....

Hey everyone. I'm from south Louisiana and just moved to the Austin area (45 minutes from Austin) and was wondering when where and if Texas has mud races like they do back home. How about car and truck shows? Do ya'll have any truck clubs here where we can go mud riding, drink beer and BBQ? Let me know cause I'm ready. I'm in Rockdale where ya'll from? Post some pics and let me know what's shakin in this area. THANKS

Their is a new place like way out 79 that is opening. If you call 4wheelparts in austin. (i think thats the name) they should be able to lead u in the right direction. I went in their friday and they had flyers on their desk for the place. looks pretty cool.

Yea thats true its not to big right now, but I noticed a few join up in the last week. There was a badass lifted screw that joined. But it would be nice to see a variety. Especially for us ford guys

what part of south louisiana? be danged if rockdale doesn't sound familiar for some reason... i'm from around fort polk area and moved to beaumont...

A) get used to driving on the shoulder, it helps
B) if there's a cop, or ANYONE on the shoulder pulled over, get the furthrest lane away from them when you pass, otherwise they can and will pull you over..
