Abs Light On Wont Go Off

Abs Light On Wont Go Off
I have a abs light on my 99 150 4x4 with disc brakes and it appears its making a funny noise on my drivers side wheel. It just recently came on and stops fine but I need to have it fixed so I can get my truck inspected. I jacked my truck up and rotated the wheel it made a funny sound like the rotor was scraping but I got plenty of brake left on the pads. I shoot the wheel also and put the truck back down and drove 100 yards and light was off then it came back on again. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what could be causing this?
Thanks

I'm going throught the same bull with mine right now. It seems to have happened after driving through puddles in a gravel yard? Who knew. It was on for the longest time, then periodically off. I tested the ohms for the front 2 and got a acceptable reading, and the rear gave nothing. The rotor sound seems kinda normal, it's not always supposed to be 100% silent but worth a good look anyways. I found one of my sliders scraping the side of my rotor once, not a pleasant sound. I'll find out hopefully today what the prob is and report back, I'm thinking it's the rear sensor on the diff.

The front sensors are behind the dust shield, moreso in the front side of the spindle. The rear is dead center of the diff on top angled down (only plug on it). I bought a new rear sensor and am about to install to see if it fixes my problem. Sensor is about 20 bux. I'm also going to replace the e-brake switch for different reasons but might be related. I'll report back.

Light went out, drove around the block and still nothing so I'm pretty sure the rear sensor fixed it. The old one looked to have rust around and below it's O-ring so that did it. Simple to remove, 10mm socket and pry a bit to pop it out. Put the new one in place and tighten bolt a good amount.

I changed my brakes and the light went off for a few then came back on. i changed my rotors as well. I seen a lil sensor thing that looked like it would be the abs sensor but looked as it plugged into area where my 4x4 driveshaft is and i had to take it out with a allen wrench. Anyhow brakes work fine lights on and i still have like a grinding sound and a weird flat tire sound at low speeds does anyone think this could be the wheel bearings making this noise and causing abs light to remain on>?

Ok gang,
I did more research on internet about that kinda thing and came across this website http://www.aa1car.com/library/2003/bf50360.htm which makes sense to me and I think thats what I need to do to make the abs light go off. I dont know if my abs sensor is built in or not can anyone tell me that? I have a 99 ford f150

Not sure if this will apply to you but I have a 2000 Expy with the ABS light on. Four wheel disc, I replaced the sensor in the diff and checked the pulse reading and voltages on the front sensors. All was ok. I then replaced the ABS pump and module($230 at the local recycle yard). Was relatively easy to do. Disconnect the Battery, changed out the part, bled the brakes and then reconnected the battery. Lights out!!
Hope this helps.
