How many Qts of Oil?

Have an 06' FX4 5.4 liter. How many qts of oil does it take, 6 or 7? I can't find it anywhere and don't feel like calling the dealer and waiting on hold while someone finds out and then tells me "I Think it's..." know what I mean?

Check in your User Manual. It has all the different oil, oil filter, gas, and any other liquid specifications.

Yep, it's in there. The 5.4 in the trucks takes 7.

yep... 7 quarts
I do all my own changes

its nice that Ford made it an even number of quarts. My old car took like 4 quarts 3 ounces or something like that and it was always a pain to measure out the 3 ounces.

Seven quarts centers mine just about perfectly on the dipstick's marking.

Mobil 1 fully synthetic and Mobil 1 oil filter for me.

I don't think that helps us canadians.
7 litres is less than 7 quarts, so I'll have 7 and a bit...

where does 7 quarts get you on the dipstick? halfway into the hash marks, or right up to full?

Like you said, older truck. You have a 16v 5.4. 2004+ is a 24v 5.4, different motor.

1 US quart is 946 ml. and 1 litre is 1000 ml. So 7 litres is more than 7 quarts.
I put 7 litres in mine and it fits perfect.
