radio trim removal

radio trim removal

i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to remove the trim around the radio and the actual radio removal itself i have 05 spercrew

If it is anything like the 04 body style(new), all I did was use a flat screwdriver in between the trim and popped it out in all four corners. The radio is held in with four hex head screws. Simple procedure should take all of 10 minutes. Hope this helps......

I have a Lariat with the center shifter and console. You did not say what model your is. To remove the entire trim piece I opened the ash tray door, pried very carefully at the bottom right and left edges of the trim, and then pulled from the bottom up. There are clips on the back of the trim to hold it in place. I think there were 3 or 4 clips on each side.

It's easy.. Don't use a screw driver!! Fast way to mess up the dash!

As explained above, access through the ashtray and just pry up, it's kinda tight but i will come off by hand..
