I have seen the flaps on a lot of shrouds for the air passage, I can add those no problem as I designed the hardware on the shroud so that the whole thing comes out in less than 5 minutes. The Lincoln fan only draws 15 amps at 3500 cfm. I believe that is really low, and the soft start controller eliminates any spikes in currant through the system.

Update, I put a diode across the motor, but that is not problem, fan is turning in same direction as when turned on. So I guess the LED indicator is just going to tell me that it is freewheeling sometimes. I will call DC controls and ask about this. No real problem as the Lincoln fan is working great. Love the throttle response. And the truck is noticeably quieter. Engine is staying right at temp.
My $169 kit rocks bigtime so far.
