To all in this post,
My post was not intended to offend anyone, but it ruffles my feathers when I see guys bash the competition because they have something good. "fisher price interiors"? Come on. I based my post from real life experience. I've driven them all. Quite honestly, I liked them all, but I'm a Ford man at heart. Think about this, how many times on this forum have guys said they would like better mileage? I know from experience that the chevies (INCLUDING the 5.3) are getting DAMN good mileage. Even in the 4x4 applications. So does this make them a bad truck? Certainly not. Right now they are first to market with a series of small, powerful, AND fuel efficient powerplants. BTW, the usable rpm thing was not an issue when I drove the Chevys. Although my truck is a 96 5.0, 4wd, it's averaging about 14 mpg. My brothers 4.8 chevy 4x4 consistantly averages OVER 20mph. To add insult to injury that truck can blow my doors off! When Ford follows suit I'll buy a new one.
