Fast46Triton:
I respect(and agree with) many of the topics you discuss on this website except for this one. I have to agree with Chris on this subject. There is no way your truck will beat a chevy 5.3 liter engine in its present condition. First of all, I am a dedicated Ford man. Always was, Always will be. My truck is very similar to yours except it is not a supercab (weighs less than yours) and it couldn't beat a Chevy 5.3 liter on its best day. You basically have a stock truck with a K & N air filter. K & N air filters are excellent buy they only go so far. If you would have said you already added a superchip, airbox mods, and a flowmaster exhaust, I would believe you would have a chance at beating a 5.3 liter Chevy. Along with that you don't exactly have the desired rear differential for racing (3:55).
I also think it is unfair to put Dantheman in the same sentence with Chris's. We should be able to accept constructive arguments as Chris presents. If you drag raced this 5.3 liter, something went wrong. Either you jumped the start, or he took his foot out of the gas (or was running on 7 cylinders). My friend, I just don't believe your claim.
