"Run what ya Brung" Nov 30th Pheonix

Im going to AZ on leave the end of November, before i deploy in January and i figured while im there i would go to Firebird Raceway for one of there Friday Night "Run what ya Brung" nights. Has anyone gon to one there? And I was thinking of getting a get together organized. let me know what you think..... It would be Nov 30th or Dec 7th but most likely the 30th. I have to be back in Oklahoma on the 8th of 9th of Dec.
I have never ran my truck and i am very intrested in what i will do. I have the edge programer and i run a 14.3 consitant on it. i know that the edge isnt the best for the run time but its gota be close. anyways i figured il put it up here see if anyone wanted to meet up and have some fun at the track.

I wouldn't trust that reading on the edge.

But the main thing is to have fun... no matter what you run.

Hey, I live really close to Firebird, I've been there once or twice but haven't brought my truck yet. I went there just to hang out, my friend has a Camaro that he takes there a lot. It'd be pretty cool to chill there for a Friday, I bet we could get some more people to come out.

I'll most likely be there.

Edit: I just found out I can't run the truck though, I'll be there to hang out and watch.

Well uhh, it's because my parents don't want me to race. They wouldn't sign the permission forms .

Nobody on here knows but might as well tell you guys right now, yeah I'm 16.
But don't think I got this vehicle handed to me because of my age, I work my *** off to put in my fair share of money. I do make a decent amount for a 16 year old and I work full time during the summer, 40 hours a week (you can't go over 40 hours a week or else you can get into trouble there). Meaning that my dad and I both use this truck, because he only works the first part of the week then I use it the second part of the week for school and drumline etc.

I'm also not mis-treating it or being a brat about it, I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles for just being a kid. You can see my posts if you want, I just try to be polite around the forums and I like it here, I learn new things everyday and it's one of my greatest interests.

So basically that's my story in a nutshell, I've seen other kids get ragged on because of them being 16 with a nice truck, but it's usually because they're being ignorant.

Anyways, I'll see you guys there at the track, I like to watch the races. That's one of my things too, I was a little nervous about racing anyways because I always watch and learn a lot before trying something, so I can do it right the first time. Measure twice, cut once sorta thing. I'm always afraid of breaking something or learning the wrong way, so if you have any pointers for me at the track, I'll definitely listen carefully.

Yeah, today over in the Gilbert area it looked pretty dreary outside. I was going to wash my truck but I decided to wait for tomorrow or something. If it does end up raining then grabbing a bite to eat would be awesome.
