Wont messing with the cats cause the truck to not run right because of the sensors?

Just replace the stock cats with 2 high flows, that way you will still be legal and can pass emissions if you have to. I'd do high flows + X-pipe + 2 SI/SO loudest mufflers you can find dumped

Then buy an electric supercharger to improve your overall mass airflow and increase the carbonation process making it loud as heck. Heres the link to the electric supercharger. Thank me later.

My brother has 2.25" true duals with straightpipes off the stock cats on his '97 4.6, it sounds really good. It has a nice crack to it when he revs it up, has a nice cackle above 2500 going down the road, and you can still hear yourself think going down the interstate. At last count he had set off 4 car alarms with it. Personally I don't think you can get a whole lot louder, and if you can I don't think you would like it. It would be fun but I don't think I could take the racket all day, every day, so I did almost the same exact thing to mine but with glasspacks.

EDIT: Originally I didn't mention the lack of mufflers in my brother's truck.

I just put a RaceReady cutout on my 5.4. I chopped my rear two cats, and it sounds great.

They really make a great product over their. No rattle, and very easy install.
