Bleeding ABS after pump replacement

What is the proceedure for bleeding the brakes after ABS pump replacement that does not include the dealer or special diagnostic tools. There must be some way to do this. Also anyone use this BBA remanufacturing for an ECU or HCU rebuild? Thanks for any info.

To bleed a new (dry) ABS module you need to take it to a dealer or someone else that has the special tool/software to cycle the ABS during the bleed. I don't know of any way to do this yourself, short of buying the equipment.

One thing to check into - often times you can buy a replacement ABS module that is already bled. There will be fluid behind all the valves already so all you have to do is a normal bleed to get the air out of the main pathways.
