I used to work with this lady whose parents are Canadian (she isnt, she was born in America) and she used to say "aboot" all the time when she was trying to say, "about".
We used to make fun of her about that sometimes.
Its like that all over. Ive talked to people from other parts of the United States who were like, "you have a funny accent", (I wasnt aware there was such as thing as Wisconsin accent, but whatever) but then again Ive got some friends who grew up in Minnesota who I think talk funny. One of my friends is originally from the Twin Cities area and when she tries to say coffee, it comes out as, "caffee".
