tranny/transfer case

hey guys hows it going i am still new to this site so don't gimmie to much sh*t but anyway i gotta 2000 f150 wiht the 5.4 i crawled under to change oil a few weeks ago an noticed the output shaft of the tranny was leaking at least i think so? anybody else been having any problems like this it doest leave a puddle where i park or anyting just some slight seepage is this anything to worry again thanx

do you have 4wd??? i have a 97 4.6 and mine was leaking. i had 123k so... easy fix. the seal is about 20$. can be tough to get the bolts off the driveshaft though. soak them in pb blaster first.

ya i do have 4x4 thanx for the advice i will pry change the seal now i don't have to have any special tools right to pull the seal i mean?

Just A Flathead Screwdriver. Be Careful Not To Gouge The Smooth Part. I Took A Utility Knife And Cut The Old Seal In Half As Much As I Could And It Came Out Pretty Easy.hammer The New One In With A Rubber Mallet.make Sure Its All The Way In There. ANOTHER THING IS TO MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE DRIVESHAFT IN EXACTLY THE WAY IT CAME OUT.MARK THE DRIVESHAFT AND THE PINION FLANGE WITH A SHARPIE OR SOMETHING,
