Good Insurance Companies?
Good Insurance Companies?
Hi fellas,
My insurance is coming up for renewal in am month or so, and thought this time I might shop around and see if I'm getting the best deal.
I was wondering if you guys have any good recommendations for companies that you're using.
I'm age 40, no claims in 10+ yrs, and a 6-star driver, and have every discount I think I can get, but I think I'm still p[aying more than I should.
Thanks
H

I use CAA and have so for the past 15 years. They recently introduced a new feature called "Forgive and Forget". What it does is if you have an accident, and you are at fault, they forgive the first one and your insurance premium doesn't go up as it normalyy would. The 2nd time you have an AF accident you are downgraded from a 6 to a 3 star. If you have been accident free for 10 or more years, you get the endorsement free. This is available for every driver in your family who is accident free for at least 6 years. I live in Ontario and we have the graduated licence system, and my wife and son still don't have their "G" licence, so I am the only one covered by this endorsement. I have a 2001 Supercrew and a Coleman Tent Trailer on the same policy and my premiums are under 2K per year.
You could contact a broker and see what is available out there. I did that every year before going with CAA, which also has my home insurance.
Good Luck

When I go to Canada I have to get special permission from my insurance company before I can drive amongst you wacky guys.
Nobody and I mean nobody up there drives the Posted Speed!
The sign clearly says 110 and I'm doing my best to maintain it (had to remove the engine governor) and yet, every car up there is just creeping along. WTF?

Hey Habibi,
Go to Kanetix.com for an online quote in Ontario. I found they offered cheaper Ontario rates than the quotes I was getting over the phone.
All of the major insurance companies quote on that site.
