40/20/40 bench seat "20" removal and addition of console instructions
Earlier today I took my middle seat out of my truck and replaced it with a floor console. It was an easy installation and took about 45 minutes with me stopping and taking pictures. Here are the instructions with pictures:
You should start with the fold down console face up and locked as shown:
Pull up hard at the indicated points. If you have never done this it will probably take a fairly decent pull. It should pop right out. After it pops up then slide the seat forward and it will pull out.
Disconnect the 12V outlet plug. On the bottom side is a piece of plastic that you should press down and it should come right out

Here are the 4 bolts that you will need to turn counter-clockwise with a T-50 Torx bit. Put some strength into it because mine were a PITA to break loose.

2nd post of instructions
After removal of the bolts, pull the console out. This is what it looks like afterwards

On the new console, remove the cup holder in the front. This part is optional but it makes it easier to line the holes up. Removed the rubber inserts and to remove the plastic squeeze on both the longer ends in the middle and it should come out.
I couldn't get a good picture, but when you insert the new console in the position, BEFORE inserting the bolts connect the 12V outlet plug to the plug you unhooked earlier.
This pic is of tightening the rear bolts. Continue tightening the bolts up

Insert the cup holders back into place
Finished product
