i've found it has been easier for me to take the whole front clip off(fenders,front valence, etc.) it gives you a lot more room to work. if you just take off the front valence you can pull the tranny and engine as one, you can do it without but it's a real bugger, also I saw a 2ton floor jack and jackstand kit at wal-mart cheap, I don't remember how much but it was under $50
