Anybody have any experience or opinions on the Sportliner Bed Rug that Ford is offering as a dealer installed option on the 2007 F-150's? Or if you have any info on aftermarket bed rugs I'd like to hear about that as well. Thanks.

 

im not sure bout the 07 ford mat. but in my bed i have a penaliner drop in with a heavy duty rubber mat. I had to cut the mat a little for it to sit flat but i couldn't be happier bout the setup. I do a little yard work for spending money(mainly wasted on the truck haha) so i need the liner and the mat is great when you have people sitting in there and it also keeps most things from sliding. But if you have alot of heavy duty stuff there then i would go with a spray in, line-x or rino are my favories. For the spay you should look to pay about 350 or so but i cant remember what i payed for all of mine

 

I have the BEDRUD in my 05, SCAB and I love it, it is very durable and resistant to everything, dries fast and holds things in place no sliding around, I also installed a Access Lorado cover so now its like having a XLG trunk, I purchased my BEDRUG through www.truckalterations.com for $280 free S&H and very easy to install I installed mine by myself in about 30 min. I definitely would go with it again, no question.

As far as the other one that was self installed. What is involved in the installation process?

Basically all you have to do is wash out the bed of your truck really good and have a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a rag to clean where the stickers go. The kit comes with some industrial strength Velcro stickers that you stick on designated areas of the rug and truck bed; then place the rug inside bed and peel and stick away. Once you have it stuck in and the Velcro is attached it is like trying to pull teeth from a shark to pull it out; so you don’t have to worry about it flying out on the highway. It sounds more complex that it really is. The only thing that took some skill was cutting the holes for the tiedowns, but I found that if you have the kind of tiedowns that can be removed, just take them out and put them in after the Rug is in. It works like an anchor system. The BedRug is really nice, fits in the bed of your tuck like a glove. I researched a lot of reviews before buying it and I could not find a negative one anywhere.

The Ford Bedrug is the Bedrug... Bedrug just makes it with the Ford logo in it for Ford...

Typically its more than a normal bedrug but you get the ford logo in the corner...

the bedrug is the BEST!

the kids can crawl around in the bed and not hurt their knees, so can i. i don't haul sand, and it's easy to clean. it dries quick if wet, and is mildew and stain resistant.

 

I have bedrug in my 06' F150 and I love it becuase u can just vacuum it out and its clean. I have a bedcover on mine so it keeps out the elements.
Bed rug is the way to go.
I got it installed by another company though, not the ford factory.

 

Just purchased my second Sportliner (Ford's name for the Bed Rug.) They are great. Easy to install , the dealer installed my first one. Honestly, for 90% of us, this is what we need. In my opinion plastic AND spray-in liners are obsolete, unless you only use your truck to carry building materials, trash, or dirt.
Go to Bedrug.com for a short video on the liner. The Sportliner, available thru Ford parts has a Ford logo, which I like, but it costs a bit more, probably $320 to $400. Be nice to the parts guy though and ask for the "dealer" or "jobber" price, if you don't get it try another dealership or an online one that discounts parts for nationwide shipping. Bedrug is about $280 and up online. Anyway, we love it, soft for camping, tailgating and the dog, dosn't get hot and burn like all that damn black plastic! Also, stands up to anything, grips, and looks great. No I don't work there, just a product I truly believe in, I wouldn't have a truck without it.

Hey I'm thinking about getting a Bed Rug for my F-150..The only thing I'm going to haul is a kayak I use for fishing two days a week. So my question is can I just spray out the sand with a hose? And how hard is it to get stains out? Like do you have to scrub it out? Thanks in advance!
