Auto 4x4 disengage?

Auto 4x4 disengage?
I just bought a 01 Explorer with auto 4x4, don't think I like not having normal 2wd , anyway to disengage the automatic 4wd? I haven't looked yet but there must be a solenoid of some sort to engage the 4wd when the truck spins so there must be a way to disconnect it, anyone?

Run a search on the Explorer Forums (www.4x4central.com) for the 'Comprehensive Brown Wire Mod' and all your questions will be answered.
The system is virtually identical for the Expeditions. If you have 4auto, 4high, and 4low on the switch on the dash, the same exact mod will work for you too. The wiring and operation is identical.
