Lightning's Factory Tonneau Cover

When I bought my Lightning from the previous owner, he was missing the tonneau cover that was an option on our trucks...

Now...I know what you're thinking "Well...he didn't buy it..."

He did. The guy bought it but lost the actual cover and supports. So I've got the railing but no cover, which is completely useless to me. I asked the parts guy at the local Ford dealership...yes...the same one who didn't know Ford made my truck I'm at college guys...not at home.

The guy said that he couldn't get it for me.

Any suggestions? I've searched e-bay and came away with nothing. I'd like to have the factory one...is there a part number or series of part numbers I could ask for?

If it helps, the factory covers were made by Bestop. They might offer it as part of their regular catalog. It's not like the factory ones had Ford logos on them or anything, so visually it should be the same thing.

here's a pic of mine...

I don't think it was offered by Ford but the previous owner had it installed and I've never seen another like it.

I just got off the phone with my local Ford parts dept. They said, they could get me the whole kit( cover, rails, etc) for $280.00. We'll see...

Hi B, I was asking $250 shipped. The last one I shipped cost close to $100. This cover I bought from a fellow Lightning brother over at NLOC awhile ago. I bought this cover as a spare, but found a brand new one from Ford. Matter of fact, I bought the last 2 in the country I believe. It's in excellent shape. This is the factory gray cover, not the black replacement one you get now from Ford. The gray ones are no longer available from Ford anymore. Thanks.

Dave, that's the replacement cover kit, which is black in color. The original part number is #XL3Z-83501A42-BAA. List: $413.04
I still have a black cover kit, complete. If you're interested, I'll let it go for $200 shipped. Excellent condition. Thanks.

Is the factory grey cover still available? I will take it if it is.
