I started this thread in July and still don't have an HU. One reason is funds. I went back to school and $2500 had to go to my first semester, and the second reason is I can't decide between these two now.

Well, Now you went and dun it. After looking over your Pioneer P880, That is the unit for me. I am not big on dancing dolphins and swimming fish. I just want great SQ. This unit deserves a long hard look. Very adjustable 16 band EQ or auto EQ, auto time aligment, DSP, 3-5v pre-outs, auto slide face, direct sub control, supertuner III and for about $300 on eBay(new). Check it out:
