You may not be able to use factory module, but there should be no problem removing the clip Ford has installed over the standard Sirius plug. Here is a quote from another thread on the forum where the user had no problem. I just looked at a factory antenna end I have and there is just a plastic clip over a standard Sirius antenna connection.

I have an 06 KR with the AVIC-Z1 installed and I was able to use the factory antenna. All I had to do was remove the plastic clip piece from the end of the antenna cable. Once that was removed it is the same plug end. The plastic piece is just the clip that holds it in place but its a snug fit and not really needed anyway.  |
