I have the DEH-P980BT. There is no 3.5" mini-jack built into the front, it is on the back of the unit and I don't know why Pioneer is advertising it as being on the front.
Other than that, I think it's an excellent unit. It is worth buying the DEH-P980BT over the DEH-P9800BT, you get more with the DEH-P980BT.
I have tried the BT it did not work to well for me, I think it is more to do with my phone than the HU. There is supposed to be a software upgrade for my phone to help resolve some of the issues the Motorolla Q.
