FWIW - I was able to put 13 cds worth of music onto 1 mp3 formatted cd. The MP3 format is about 12% the size of the straight audio format. The Ipod foramt AAC is about 10% the original size, but you can't burn an AAC CD.

Yes, this does help. The goal is to have as much music in the truck as possible. Although, it would be nice to have the Ipod so that my 4 year old can watch a video on longer drives!
