Crutchfield is a great place to start to see what fits your truck.

The OEM stereo head units have enough power to drive quality speakers, so there's really no need to replace it unless you find an after market unit you really like. All you really need to do is add some decent speakers and perhaps a sub-woofer. A powered sub-woofer with speaker level inputs can add quite a bit of punch to a factory stereo without a lot of wiring and expense.
