i would have to respectfully disagree with you there. I have a mad controller that has never controlled properly. The truck never ran hot but but it came on for no apparent reason. Someone on this forum talked me into running the ignition on circuit to the battery. As a result, the mad controller killed my battery by cycling my fan on and off over night (for no reason!).
I have ordered a dccontrol fan controller that has a softstart. This is easier on the electrical system and is a variable output. I also had a spal controller (never installed) that has the soft start feature but i think the dccontrol unit is better for the fan that i have.
