Empty weight, GVW, GAWR - F150?

Having just moved to SC from FL, one of the forms required for "Application for Certification of Title and Registration for Motor Vehicle" asks for the "Empty Weight" and "GVW" for my
'97 F150 6 1/2 bed, super cab, 4-wheel drive and my
'98 4 door (no 3rd seat) Expy

Where do I find that info or how do I calculate the empty and GVW weights?

Thanks

The door pillar for the F-150 has GAWR 3400 Front / 3200 Rear shown. Added together, does that equal GVW?

From your owner's manual:

Base Curb Weight: Weight of the vehicle including any standard equipment, fluids, lubricants, etc.
It does not include passengers or aftermarket equipment.

² Payload: Combined maximum allowable weight of cargo,
passengers and optional equipment. The payload equals
gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) minus base curb weight.

² Gross vehicle weight (GVW): Base curb weight plus the
payload weight (including passengers, cargo and optional
Driving 116 equipment. Remember, the GVW is not a limit or a specification.

² Gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR): Maximum total weight
of the base vehicle, passengers, optional equipment and cargo.
The GVWR is specific to each particular vehicle and is listed
on the Safety Compliance Certification Label on the driver
door pillar.

² Gross axle weight rating (GAWR): Carrying capacity for
each axle system (front and rear). This amount is specific to
each particular vehicle and is listed on the Safety Compliance
Certification Label on the driver door pillar.

² Gross combined weight rating (GCWR): Maximum combined weight of the towing vehicle (including passengers and cargo) and the trailer. The
GCWR indicates the maximum loaded weight that the vehicle is
allowed to tow.

² Maximum trailer weight: Maximum weight of a trailer the
loaded vehicle (including passengers and cargo) is permitted to tow. It is
determined by subtracting the weight of the loaded towing
vehicle from the GCWR of the towing vehicle.

² Trailer weight range: Specified weight range that the
trailer must fall within that Driving 117 ranges from zero to the
maximum trailer weight rating.

Can't calculate, only measure those weights. The DMV probabtly wants the empty weight and the GVWR. Empty = measure at lanscape place or truck center. GVWR = sum of front & rear axle ratings.

My ballpark guess is that your truck weighs around 5000 pounds empty.

Try
http://www.internetautoguide.com/car...ons/index.html

It shows around 4000lb curb weight for a 4x2 version so add some weight.

Heck this is gov't work....5000 sounds good to me....like those nuts will know.
