305/70r16

I went to the shop today and was pricing tires to go on a 16x10 wheel. They recommended me going with a 305/70R16 instead of the 285/75R16. Will the 305s fit ok or what do I need to do to my truck to make them work? Thanks.

They should fit if you crank the torsion bars and youll probably have to trim some of the plastic valence.

Right. They will fit. You will just need to trim a little bit of plastic off the front bumper's lower valance. I have some pics of this in my gallary.

Thanks guys....They said they could put these on my stock wheels for right now because I don't quite have my money together for the wheels yet and I really need tires. Have you ever seen 305s on the stock wheels? Thanks.

Yeah, I've seen some. The 305's are a little too wide for the OEM 16x7 wheels, so I wouldn't run them too long.
