Cog Belt anyone?

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/lightcog.htm

Anyone have any comments on a cog belt system. Have read it can hurt your motor if the rotors ever touch. But does the rotors ever touch?

well, it WOULD reduce belt slippage if you that, plus it also make the motor look good.

I got a friend that had a cog setup on a mustang. He kept breaking belts because of it not slipping, I guess. That's all we could figure. If the belt don't slip that would mean something else could. He ended up shattering his charger. Of course he was pushing some major poundage thru it. I totally agree with crash there. I wouldn't mind having the cog system mainly for looks. I've never heard about the rotors touching though.

I'd run a cog drive like that in a heartbeat if there ever was one made for my setup. I'd don't care about looks but zero belt slip and lots of whine...sign me up...

As I understand it the rotors are coupled together via a gear set located behind the front cover. If they weren't coupled then only one rotor would spin (based on the single input shaft). This being the case the rotor clearance should never vary. Can anyone concur? Thus, the slipage is a form of a waste gate / popoff. It has nothing to do with rotor contact.
