Where are you measuring the transmission temperature? Trans fluid pan? Output line to the radiator? Output of the trans cooler?
Depending upon where you measure makes all the difference in the world. For example, my sensor is basically on the output line, and I have seen temps almost at 260*. Some measure in the pan, which may be a lot cooler. The question I guess is where is the most effective place to measure the temp, for what we want to accomplish: trailer towing while maintaining and extending the transmission life? I for one prefer to measure at the absolute max, but it would be nice to measure the fluid as it returns to the transmission.
