What the biggest tire
I am in the process at looking at tires. I do not want to lift the truck or tightnen the torsion bars as of yet. So in saying that. I have two questions. What is the biggesst size tires that u can put on the stock 17 inch rims with out rubbing at any angle? And also what would be the widest rimsize and tallest tire that i can put on my stock f150 with out rubbing at any angle.

I would suggest going with a 285/70-17 (33x11.50) tire. You could mount them on the OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels or an aftermarket 17x8 without any rubbing or trimming. You could go with a 9 inch wide wheel, but you may or may not have to trim the front bumper's lower plastic valance. If you go to a 17x10, you will have to trim the valance.

After researching this often asked question, I believe it's 285/70/17 using factory 17" wheels. I got myself new set of BF Goodrich T/A KO in this size last week, and it looks sweet! Any bigger tires will hurt some in gas mileage and lose some power in acceleration without upgrading the gears.

It's a good idea to get a new spare that's the same size as the rest of your tires. Sometimes you can find cheap used tires at tire shops. But IF you don't, and you get a flat, put the smaller tire on the front. DO NOT put two different size tires on the rear axle, it will destory your limited slip parts.
Edit: If you like all terrrain tires, Nitto makes the Terra Grappler AT in a 295 width, and they typically cost less than the BGF ATs. 295/70/R17 = 33.26" tall tire. A TRUE 33" tire.
